Dhaka-- (UNB) – The main indexes at Dhaka Stock Exchange closed lower for the third straight day yesterday (Monday) as the losers outnumbered the gainers.


The DSE All Share Price Index lost 1.09 points or 0.17 percent to close at 636.04 points from Sunday’s 637.13 points.


The DSE-20 index dropped by 4.02 points or 0.31 percent to close at 1259.72 points as against 1263.74 points Sunday.


Of the 163 listed securities traded yesterday, 97 declined, 43 advanced and 23 remain unchanged.


Some 1,256,362 shares and debentures worth Tk 9.81 crore were transacted as against 1,346,907 shares valued at Tk 8.28 crore on the previous trading day.


Legacy Food (122,000), Sino Bangla (112,000) and M Hossain (104,850) were among the volume leaders.


Market capitalisation stood at Tk 60.62 billion from Tk 60.73 billion on Sunday.
